The Yarmouth Music Society is presenting pianist Lucas Porter in concert at the Yarmouth County Museum (Collins Street) Saturday Aug. 2 from 7-9 p.m. Adults $15, students $10.

Free day camp
Starts Aug. 5
There are still spaces available for the August summer day camp for children 6 to 11 years of age. There will be three one-week camps beginning Aug. 5 held at Central School between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily. Arts and crafts, outdoor play, daily topics and related activities (e.g. self esteem, angry feelings). Lunch and snacks are provided. Registration is required. The Yarmouth Garden Club’s 12th annual flower show and tea will be held Saturday, Aug. 2 at the Beacon Church hall, Beacon Street, Yarmouth from 2 to 4 p.m. Admission $4.
Fair

There will be a fun day fair at the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 61, 75 Parade St., Yarmouth on Aug. 4 from 10:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. (Free admission, rain or shine.) Yard sale, cake walk, bake and craft tables, fish pond, dart shoot, auction from 2 to 2:30, canteen and kitchen. Members and guests.

Hall of fame opened

The Sports Hall of Fame, in its new location at 435 Main St., is now opened from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. And the sports calendar is now on sale at the hall of fame, City Drug and Spears and MacLeod Pharmasave. You can also pick up hall of fame nomination forms at the same locations. Deadline is Sept. 30.
Veterans’ reunion planned
