New Minas sets residential, commercial tax rates
The village commission of New Minas has approved the budget and village rates for 2008/2009.
The operating budget for $2.1 million was approved at a special meeting July 21, an increase of $91,621 over last year’s budget, and includes capital expenses of $198,000.
The village tax rates were set at 45 cents per $100 of residential and resource assessment, no change over last year, and 54.1 cents per $100 of commercial and business occupancy assessment, an increase of 4.1 cents over last year.
