July 26 at the Berwick town hall, Smokin' Entertainment presents "Heavy Metal Meltdown.” This all-ages show features the long-awaited return of Newfoundlands' top metal export, Children of Eve, left, as well as three Valley metal bands. Rounding out the bill are Subspecies, doing their last performance until the fall; A Call for Submission, the local five-piece doing some classics and originals; and the Valley's metal young-guns, Eco-Shock, who blew the crowd away at the last Metal Massacre in Coldbrook. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and advance tickets are available for $5 at 902-691-4747 ($8 at the door).
