Congrats to Ginette Surette on being crowned the new Seafest Queen, and to her 1st Lady Bridget Nickerson and Miss Friendship Phylicia Oconnell. I know all of you girls will make Yarmouth proud! It was truly an amazing experience and I know you will have a blast this year. Thank you to the Yarmouth Vanguard for always taking lovely pictures and capturing the community events that we have in this lovely town:) I am so proud to be representing you all as Miss SouthWestern Nova Scotia. I can only hope to bring home the title of Miss Canada to you all. Have a great rest of the summer and see you again next Seafest festival!

Thanks for the article! The winner is adorable but our family LOVE Ms. Nickerson!!! Sorry, an honest opinion- we were on the shore for most of the Seafes activities but missed the finale. Keep 'going for it' Bridget; you'd definately make a fabulous Ms. Canada. Your beauty, both 'inside & out,' are spectacular, you're so well-spoken and would do Nova Scotia very PROUD!!! Show Canada one more reason why our province is THE BEST!! People like you epitomize the best that we have to offer:) Congratulations on your "Lady-In-Wating' success!
Sincerely,
The Beers Family (Truro) & Mrs. Lenahan (visiting from ON.)

The 2007 Seafest queen was not Vanessa Holmes, it was Brittney Blake.

I believe that the out-going 2007 Seafest Queen was Brittany Jean Blake, and not Vanessa Holmes as stated.
