RCMP New Minas called to disturbance in Coldbrook
One youth stabbed; injuries not life-threatening
RCMP in New Minas were called to a fight around 9:30 last night involving several youths behind a strip mall in Coldbrook, Kings County. The caller indicated there were upwards of 30 youths involved.
RCMP said in a press release July 16, 2008 that two male youths were assaulted. One 19-year-old Coldbrook man was stabbed and then taken to the Valley Regional Hospital by friends. His injuries were not considered life-threatening, however, he was admitted to the hospital.
The other, a 15-year-old youth, sustained minor injuries as a result of an assault. RCMP are continuing their investigation with charges anticipated.
