Party in the park - Acadia Dance Collective

The Acadia Dance Collective Community held a fundraiser at Wolfville’s Willow Park July 13, as the group works toward rebuilding its program and finding new space following a fire May 20 that destroyed a building in Grand Pre that housed everything they had. Program coordinator Courtney Smith said they had earlier fundraised $8,000 for resources, including costumes, lost in the blaze; now their program is threatened, but there are plans to rebuild in a new location, including an arts centre. They’re looking for space for September for regular weekly classes and they have a wish list of items they need to replace on their website, adccommunity.com.
