Group gives positive spin on Zimbabwe
Much is being heard in the media recently of Zimbabwe, its uncertain elections and general social and economic problems.
A more positive view of the country and its culture will be presented in Middleton on Monday, July 7 at the Old Holy Trinity Church on Main Street next to the Department of Transportation.
One of Zimbabwe's foremost cultural ambassadors, Black Umfolosi, will present an exciting program of soaring acapella harmonies and thrilling African dance.
Concert time is 7 p.m. and cost is $30.
The group, much loved around the world, offers sweet sounds of acapella with marvelous harmonies and gospel singing as well as captivating dancing including the gumboot dancing of South Africa. Black Umfolosi performs with fun and joyful enthusiasm.
Evergreen Theatre will be presenting this concert in partnership with, and at, the Old Holy Trinity Church.
