There were 149 reports made to RCMP in Kings County between June 23 and July 1.
After a fight in Canning between two men who knew each other, a 29-year-old was charged with assault.
A 39-year-old male shoplifter in Zellers, New Minas was arrested at 3:29 p.m.
A shopper in Sobey’s, New Minas left her purse alone while packing groceries and it was gone when she returned. The shopper’s credit card was later used in a Berwick convenience store.
Police are investigating a collision where three people were injured that occurred in Aylesford at 7 p.m.
Kenneth Ave. residents of Coldbrook were roasting marshmallows at 10 p.m. when police warned them about the fire hazard.
A driver failed to pay for $40 worth of gas at the Big Stop in New Minas at 2:09 a.m. June 24.
Transportation department staff called police about 12 cows on the Prospect Rd. near Cambridge.
Enough measured and wrapped boards were stolen from the mill on the Deep Hollow Rd. in White Rock to fill a half-ton truck.
A New Minas woman reported receiving 1,500 text messages from a man over the last month. She was advised by Aliant to change her phone number and police told her the matter was a civil one.
Smoke from burning apple branches in an orchard near Grand-Pre was causing poor visibility on Highway 101 at 2 p.m.
A truck driver was injured at the asphalt plant in Greenwich when his vehicle toppled while being filled. He was taken to the VG Hospital.
A helicopter was dispatched after a 911 caller reported a boat on fire off Avonport, but it turned out to be a fire on shore. Four Centreville residents reported stolen solar lights.
A man was standing in the middle of an intersection in Waterville at 11 a.m. June 25.
A chainsaw and a propane tank were stolen from a residence in Aylesford.
Equipment was taken from a barn on the Thorpe Rd. in Northville. The driver of a gold Corolla did not pay for $55 worth of gas in Greenwich.
A vehicle was seized in Windermere at 10:55 a.m. when the driver did not have insurance or registration.
There was a rear-end collision on Main St. in Port Williams at 8:35 p.m. A boat on a trailer was stolen at 8:47 p.m. in Coldbrook.
The door of a Dakota Lane, Greenwood residence was kicked in. Nothing was taken.
On June 26 a window in a vehicle on Freeman Dr. in Greenwood was found smashed at 5 a.m.
The roof at the canteen at Kingsport wharf was hit by vandals overnight. Shingles were torn and beer bottles found on the roof.
Between 200 and 300 litres of fuel was siphoned out of excavators parked at Gaspereau Lake. A purse was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle on Pleasant St. in Wolfville.
A car and truck collided on High St. in Port Williams about 2:20 p.m. One driver was charged for failing to yield.
Two young teens were banned from Zellers in New Minas for trying to steal candy and a ring. A garage in Gaspereau was broken into.
A caller in East Dalhousie reported frustration with ATVs on the road.
Two suspicious men had their car towed after a Weston farmer reported strangers in a field with irrigation pipes at 12:50 a.m. June 27.
A Kakwa St., Cambridge resident reported youth partying after graduation at 1:16 a.m. They were located and asked to party inside.
There were traffic problems around Tim Hortons in Greenwood about 7 a.m.
A worker at the Flower Cart in New Minas got a hand stuck in a piece of equipment at 7:58 a.m.
A window on a Plymouth Neon was smashed to let a thief in overnight on Fundy Dr. in Wolfville. The car was then stolen.
Someone broke into the unopened SPCA shelter in Waterville through a dog run and stole cat and dog food.
Thieves broke into the Roselawn Cottages office in Wolfville and stole change.
A clarinet was reported stolen from the school in Coldbrook. A vandal cut a water hose in two places on the Old French Rd. in Kingston.
Someone broke into an apartment on Andringa Dr. in Cambridge and turned over all the furniture.
A laptop was reported stolen from an apartment on Hillside Ave. in Wolfville.
A Windermere resident reported the loss of the 11th mailbox in 12 months. A cheque inside the box was also stolen.
Early on June 28 a drunken man was arrested outside a Greenwood liquor establishment.
Police investigated a possible theft in progress from a barn in Sheffield Mills, but found nothing disturbed at 2:40 a.m.
A drunken man broke a car window at Dooley’s in Greenwood and went to sleep in the vehicle. He was arrested at 2:45 a.m.
A business in Cambridge was broken into overnight and cash was stolen. Fuel was stolen from farm tractors sitting in a field in Woodville.
A young driver went into the ditch on Highbury Ave. in New Minas about 3:25 p.m. A lawn mower and tools were stolen from a shed on Black River.
An Old Farm Lane resident of New Minas reported ongoing issues with ATVs. A camper used for storage was broken into in Greenwich.
A frustrated resident of Crocker Rd. in Auburn reported ongoing problems with ATVs being loud and fast. One machine drove by with seven people on board.
An unwanted and drunk 19-year-old guest was arrested in Medford about 10:10 p.m.
A charge was laid under the town noise bylaw after a loud party with a live band on Gaspereau Ave. in Wolfville.
There was a noisy party on the beach in Kingsport early June 29, but police found the numbers in attendance were exaggerated. The party and bonfire were shut down anyway.
A drunken man was arrested for banging and yelling at 1:13 a.m. A Kingston officer stopped a woman who was driving while suspended.
Police are investigating a collision between an ATV and a bike in Millville about 11 a.m. The 40-year-old ATV driver was possibly impaired. Tools were taken from a garage west of Berwick.
Police were called about a dispute between two 13-year-old boys in north Kentville.
A driver was stopped by police in Welsford for not wearing a seatbelt. He turned out to be impaired and had an open beer between his feet. The man was arrested and given a ticket for the seatbelt infraction.
A $700 lawnmower was stolen from Rosedale Ave. in north Kentville.
A man, reported for being impaired, was later arrested for a domestic incident in Kingston.
Three youth were reported for vandalizing the church sign in Cambridge early June 30. The three teens, aged 17–19, were located and two were charged. There was a loud party on Baltzer Dr. in Kingston at 1 a.m.
Two large bulls were reported walking through a yard on the New Rd. in Aylesford about 8:22 a.m. A second caller reported what were actually oxen eating flowers in another yard. The owner eventually led them home.
A daycare centre on the Cambridge Reserve reported toys and the outside of the building were vandalized.
Two men were fighting on Commercial St. in New Minas about 5 p.m. When police arrived they were told the two were father and son, aged 31 and 14, and they were simply wrestling.
A loud party was reported early July 1 at a Park St. location in Aylesford.
Someone attempted to steal gas from a vehicle parked on Maple Ave. in Aylesford.
There were a number of fireworks complaints, 18 domestic incidents and 10 mental health calls.
There were 15 false business alarms, 19 false residential alarms and 23 false 911 calls.
