Costume Workshop

June 28 Loyalist Costume Workshop with Ken Nye, June 28, 9:30 to 5 p.m. at North Hills Museum. Registration required by June 25. Fee $40. Info: 532-2168.

Food drive

June 28 Clementsport Community Churches will hold a food drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Clementsport by the monument. Food and monetary donations accepted, (- for the local food bank).

Cribbage tournament

June 28 Cribbage Tournament at the Middleton Legion Branch #1 with registration at 12, noon and play starting at 1:00 p.m. All entrance monies returned

in prizes. Canteen available. Members and guests welcome. Must be 19 years of age. Call 825-4751 for more information.

Strawberry supper

June 28 At the Inglisville Hall from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Enjoy casseroles, salads, baked beans, etc. and strawberry shortcake, cost is $6. Proceeds for the Inglisville Baptist Church.

Annual Flea Market

June 28 Annual Flea Market/Yard Sale, Hillsburn 4-H Hall, Saturday June 28 starting at 8:30 a.m. Hot Dogs and Pop will be sold.

Middleton Swimming Pool

June 28 The Middleton Swimming Pool opens for the season on June 28. Sign up for swimming lessons, Kids of Steel Triathlon Program, Junior Lifeguard Program, or Adult Aquacise Classes. For more information or to register contact the Middleton Swimming Pool at 825-6600.

Giant Yard Sale

June 29 Giant Yard Sale, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Granville Beach Church Yard. Household items, bake table, and plants. Sponsored by the Lower Granville Baptist Churches. Proceeds for Parsonage Repairs

Sing Song

June 29 A Concert/Sing Song at the Victoria Vale Baptist Church begins at 7 p.m. Featuring the Golden Valley Boys, Dave and Jeremy Llewellyn. Refreshments will be served at Parker Hall after the service. Freewill offering for Kingswood Camp. All are invited to help this worthy cause.

Yard sale

June 29 At the Brickton Community Hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. Held

by the Brickton Rug Hookers Club.

Gospel evening

June 29 Enjoy Gospel Music at the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Lequille, at 7pm. Curtis Chute & Friends performing. Bring a friend. Refreshments to follow.

Lobster Lunch

July 1 Get a take-out: Lobster (1-1/4 lb.), potato salad, coleslaw, veggies, roll and strawberry shortcake for $20 from 11:15am to 1:30p.m. or as supplies last, at the Holy Trinity Church, Middleton. To reserve, call 825-4758. Sponsored by Holy Trinity Anglican Church.

A Taste of Annapolis County

July 1 Bridgetown and Area Friends of the Library draw for seven meal deals during Canada Day celebrations in Jubilee Park. Tickets are $2 each, three for $5, available at Library and Town Hall, also from Friends members. A Friends toonie lunch special will also be available from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds from all sales go to New Library Building Fund.

Canada Day

July 1 Celebrate Canada Day from 1 to 3 p.m., on Tuesday, July 1 at the Macdonald

Museum in Middleton. Entertainment, refreshments, children's activities, official

opening of By the Bay, an exhibit on the Valley's shoreline communities - all free on July 1. For further details call the museum at 825-6116.

Canada Day Celebrations

July 1 Canada Day Celebrations will be held Tuesday, July 1 at Melvern Square Community Hall. 11:15 a.m. parade registration at Melvern Square United Baptist Church. 11:30 a.m. parade, flag raising, cake cutting, hot dogs and pop. 12 noon soap slide. Everyone welcome.

By the Bay Exhibit

July 1 By the Bay, an exhibit on the Valley's shoreline communities, opens at 1 pm, on Canada Day, July 1, at Macdonald Museum. Free admission. Call 825-6116 for further details.

House & Garden Tour

July 5 Annapolis Royal House & Garden Tour is scheduled for Saturday, July 5. Showcasing the Historic Gardens and special homes and gardens in and around Annapolis Royal. A fundraiser for the Historic Gardens. Tickets $20 ($15 for Season Passerholders). Call 532-7018.

Paradise Church Supper

July 5 Paradise United Baptist Church Supper Cold plate with strawberry shortcake will be held at Paradise Hall July 5 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Adults $10. Children under 12 $7.

Lobster supper

July 5 Purchase tickets by June 28 for a Lobster Supper at the Lower Granville Hall, #3551 Port Royal. Limited seating, starts at 6pm and cost is $25. Please call 532-0125 or 532-2267.

July 5 Bridgetown Lion’s Hall Breakfast from 8-11 am, (on Church St.). Enjoy a garden omlette, hash browns, sausages, toast & jam. Free will offering.

Yard sale

Western Kings Rink Dance

July 12 The Western Kings Rink Association hosts their annual Summer Dance July 12 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dance to the music of Spare Parts. Legal age applies. Cost $10 a person.

Slo-Pitch Tournament

July 19-20 The Heart of the Valley Co-ed Slo-Pitch Tournament will be taking place on July 19 and 20 in Middleton. The fee is $275 per team and a new ball.
