DGH emergency department schedule for July

Closures will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, except Thursday, July 24, when it will be closed until the following morning at 8 a.m.

The ongoing physician shortage will also see the ER closed:

• Tuesday, July 1, from 8 a.m. to Wednesday, July 2, at 8 a.m.

• Thursday, July 3, from 8 a.m. until Friday, July 4, at 8 a.m.; and

• Friday, July 4, from 8 p.m. until Saturday, July 5, at 8 a.m.

People needing emergency services during when the ER is closed are advised to visit Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Annapolis Community Health Centre, Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton, or Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville.

The public is reminded to dial 911 in the case of an emergency. An ambulance can only be dispatched by calling 911.
