Stockall finishes 11th at Mid-Am
Paul Stockall, a Digby Pines member, finished just out of the top 10 at the Nova Scotia Mid-Amateur championship that wrapped up Sunday at Clare Golf and Country Club.
Stockall, a Halifax resident with a summer home in the Digby area, wound up in 11th place with a rounds of 74, 70 and 75 for total of 219 on the par-71 course.

Clare’s Robert Collins finished the tournament with a four-under 67 to take second place, two strokes behind winner Aaron Nickerson of Clark’s Harbour, whose three-round total was 208.

Collins will join Nickerson on the province’s Mid-Am team for the national championship in British Columbia this August.

Two other golfers from the Digby Pines club were in the tournament. Cleveland Theriault finished with a total of 232, and Tim Bates with 300.
