Pedestrian injured

A young girl is cared for by paramedics at an accident scene on Victoria Street outside the Dairy Queen restaurant shortly before 4:30 p.m. She was then transported to hospital. Witnesses said the girl had been by the crosswalk when she was hit by a pickup truck that has just collided with a small car. Neither driver was reportedly injured, but damage to both vehicles was extensive.
