Awards, promotions for Weymouth cadets

Awards and promotions were handed out to cadet members of 603 RCACC Weymouth at the annual awards banquet June 4 at Weymouth Consolidated School.

Acting Master Corporal Kristen Atkins received both the best overall cadet award as well as the CO’s Appreciation award.

The top Green Star award went to Pte. Danielle Arsenault and the top Red Star Award was presented to Pte. Jeffrey Tidd.

Hannah Hiltz-Potvin was named the most improved female cadet, while Randy Robicheau was most improved male cadet.

“I knew I was in line for a promotion to private,” said Robicheau, “but I was shocked when they called my name for most improved award. I was not expecting it.”

Several cadets received promotions to the rank of private while others were promoted to corporal.

Corp. Kerri Fancy was promoted to the rank of Master Corporal.

On hand to make the presentations were commanding officer Capt. Eban Sabean, training officer Lieut. Robbie Sweeney, and administration officer Lieut. Tracy Cormier.
