Students at Avon View are busy preparing a comedic romp through a Shakespearean classic, presenting A Night in Elsinore, playwright Richard Nathan’s parody of Hamlet.
Jessica Stephens, one of thirty cast and crew members, says “it’s the same storyline, but with a lot more jokes and a lot of communicating with the audience. I think it’s really funny. Everyone will have a good time.”
Drama teacher and director Jennifer Deslauriers says the show is fun for all involved. “The kids are really enjoying doing it.”
In rehearsals since March, the students are ready to present polished performances this week -- May 22 and 23. Tickets for the 6:30 p.m. shows are available at the Avon View office or at the door for $5.
