An adult male has been transported to a Halifax hospital and an apartment building in Yarmouth is now under guard after a serious assault late Thursday night.
Yarmouth RCMP Constable Mark Connell says officers responded to the call to 15 Bond Street last night at 11:40 p.m. and found an 24-year-old adult male with serious injuries. Three suspects, ranging in age from 23-24 are in custody after being picked up near the scene.
RCMP say the victim, a resident of Hants County, sustained fractures to his skull and face.
A local resident says he heard the attack involved baseball bats.
The RCMP's Southwest major crime unit, and Yarmouth RCMP are investigating.
