BOURDREAU, Myrtle L.- 76, of Liverpool, passed away suddenly Saturday, May 3, 2008 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late Joshua and Estella (Wesley) Berriman. Myrtle was an honorary member of the Liverpool Firefighters Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her companion of many years Daniel Cunningham; daughter Debra Spinney of Durham, On; sons: Derek (Debbie) of Liverpool, Raymond and Barry (Joyce), both of Milton; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond; sisters: Beatrice, Marguerite, Vera, Muriel, Doris and Betty and brothers Eugene in infancy and Cecil. Funeral was held May 8, 2008 at Liverpool Fire Hall, Major Henry Bingle officiated. Burial will be at a later date following cremation. Donations may be made to the family. RICHARDS, Marion Marie. - 73, of Halifax. It is with great sadness that the family of Marion announces her passing in the VG Site, QEII, on May 3, 2008. Born in Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Kathrine (Corkum) Wolfe. She is survived by her son Gary Richards, Halifax; brother Douglas Wolfe, Liverpool. She was predeceased by her loving husband Henry; brother Ronald Wolfe; sister Ruby (Wolfe) Dowell. She will be deeply missed by her brother, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nephews, nieces, and her friends. Marion will always be remembered for her big heart, good nature and her laugh. Douglas would like to thank Henry’s family for all the support over the years and especially the past few months of her precious life. No service by request. BARTLETT (Paul), Rose Marie Cecilia - 81, Yarmouth, passed away May 3, 2008, in Tidal View Manor. Born on June 13, 1926, in Weymouth, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Marie (Francis) Paul. She was the firstborn of 12 children and the last surviving member of her immediate family. Cecilia was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed making baskets. Surviving are daughters, Rowana (Daniel) Harper, Maine; son, Stoney (Pauline) Bartlett, Maine; three grandsons and two great-grandsons. She was predeceased by husband, Jeremiah; son, Cody, and several brothers and sisters. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 7, at 10 a.m. in Sweeny's Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Baker officiating. Interment took place in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. LEWIS, Basil Stanley, 75, of Digby, died May 3, 2008, in Digby General Hospital. Funeral May 8 in Digby Baptist Church.

MCINTYRE, Ashley Andrew, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle at his residence on April 27, 2008 at the age of fifty-eight years. Beloved husband of Patricia (Clattenburg); loving father of A.J. (Sandy), Ian (Shannon) and Chastity (Patrick). Cherished grandfather of Devon, Kayla and Hailey. Long time employee of Batshaw Youth and Family Services, Montreal. Funeral Mass was held at St. Gabriel’s Church on Saturday, May 3 at noon. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

Andrew David Power – Pilot, 25, of Bedford, passed away April 27, 2008, in Male, Maldives, after a brief illness. Born in Summerside, PEI, he was the son of Canon Robert and Theresa (Benedict) Power. He is survived by his parents, his sister, Anne, Dartmouth, his girlfriend, Pamela Gillespie, Grand Falls, NB; his grandparents, Lloyd and Dorothy Power, Dartmouth; Marjorie Benedict, Hantsport; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Edward Benedict. He was a pilot employed by Kenn Borek Air Limited as First Officer, and was flying with the Maldavian Air Taxi Pte. Ltd. Co. in the Maldives. He was a graduate of the Moncton Flight College Diploma Program of 2006, and was a flight instructor in Moncton prior to his employment with Kenn Borek Air Limited. Andrew had a passion for flying and worked hard to fulfill his dream. A service to celebrate Andrew’s life was officiated by The Right Reverend Sue Moxley in the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Halifax, on Saturday, May 10, 2008. A memorial fund has been set up at the Royal Bank of Canada in Bedford to establish a bursary in Andrew’s memory at the Moncton Flight College. MOULAISON, William Joseph – 71, Brooklyn, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born April 26, 1931, he was the son of the late Eli and Ida Mary (LeBlanc) Moulaison. He was a fisherman, and worked aboard the Prince of Fundy, and was the quartermaster of the Bluenose ferry. William was a member of the Eastern Woodland Metis Nation, as well as an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a boxer, and he started the Yarmouth Archery association for bow-hunting. Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Madeline (Muise); sons David (Virginia) Moulaison, Robert (Trudy) Moulaison, both of Calgary; daughter Elaine Moulaison, Kentville; grandchildren, Amanda, David, Melanie, Nicholas; brother George (Ann), Pleasant Valley; sisters Rose (Fred) Muise, Gladys (Wesley) Little, Clara (Victor) Deveau, Doreen Branscombe, all of Yarmouth. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Peter Alexander Moulaison. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday, with prayers at 8 PM, followed by the funeral at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, both in H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, Father John MacPherson officiated, with an Aboriginal service led by Spiritual Leader Leland Surrette. Interment will take place at a later date. MUISE, Vicky Marie – 49, Villa Saint Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton, and formerly of Yarmouth and Sluice Point, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2008, in the villa. Born July 26, 1958 in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Constance Bourque. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed cats. Surviving are a daughter, Tara L (Bruce) Muise, Overton, as well as a grandson, Nathan H. Muise; a sister, Jane (Bobby) Muise, Sluice Point; a brother, Willard Bourque, Tusket. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her common-law husband, Colby Marlin. Visitation took place from 7-9 Friday evening with prayers at 8 PM, both in H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral was held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 3 from Saint Ambrose Cathedral, 43 Albert Street, Yarmouth, Rev. Mr. Stephen Bourque officiated. LeBLANC, Elizabeth Anne – 66, Ellis Road, Yarmouth, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2008 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born September 14, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary (Goodwin) Fraser. Anne was a homemaker, also being an avid gardener, bird watcher and a nature-enthusiast. Surviving are her children, Tessa (Kenny) Maillet, Bob Fraser (Coleen Moulaison), both of Yarmouth; Angel (Warren) Gibbons, Plymouth; Nicole (Dwayne) Gaudet, Glenwood; Mary Jane LeBlanc (Keith Walton), Brookfield, Queen’s Co.; grandchildren, Melissa, Jennifer, Andre, Logan the girl, Logan the boy, Kayla, Kourtney and Damien; sisters, Sharon Kerfont, Truro; Charlotte (Greg) Mailman, Middleton; a brother, David (Bonnie) Fraser, Chegoggin. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Warren LeBlanc. Cremation took place under the direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth, and there was no visitation by request. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. Memorial donations may be made to the Tusket River Environmental Protection Agency.
