Home energy audits now available
CARP delivering program in Western Valley
Home energy audits that can unlock hundreds of dollars in energy conservation subsidies are now being offered in the western Annapolis Valley by the Clean Annapolis River Project (CARP).

The Clean Nova Scotia Foundation is the provider licensed by Natural Resources Canada and Conserve Nova Scotia. They have entered into a partnership agreement with CARP for the delivery of the program in this region.

A certified technician will conduct various tests to develop a home energy conservation plan. Homeowners will be able to use this plan to undertake air sealing, insulation, and various other conservation measures that could significantly reduce their home heating bills.

This audit is the first step in accessing very significant subsidies from both Conserve Nova Scotia and Natural Resources Canada to carry out the recommendations from the report.

CARP’s new energy auditor, Les Smith, said that homeowners win all around.

“They receive subsidies to implement plans that will significantly reduce their energy consumption.”

Homeowners who would like to access they program should contact Les Smith toll free at 1-888-547-4344 or via e-mail at carp@annapolisriver.ca
