Weston barn burns

About 6 p.m. May 12, the Berwick Fire Department was paged out to a large barn on fire on the south side of Highway 221 in Weston, just east of the golf course. The structure was apparently fully involved when firefighters arrived. It didn't take crews long to knock the fire down, but it was quite windy. The event was actually in the Aylesford department's jurisdiction, and Aylesford, Berwick, Waterville, Kentville (the aerial ladder) and New Minas crews responded to the scene.
