RCMP kept busy with assaults, accidents, disturbances

Members of the Annapolis detachment of the RCMP were busy last week, responding to 92 calls for assistance between April 28 and May 5.

Among these were two motor vehicle accidents, five domestic matters, three false alarms, and two false 911.

Following are highlights of these calls:

-- April 28 at 4 p.m. Police received a report of an assault in Meadowvale.

-- April 28 at 4:31 p.m. Police received a request for assistance with an intoxicated individual in Hampton.

-- April 28 at 7:45 p.m. Police received a disturbing the peace complaint from Lawrencetown.

-- April 28 at 9:23 p.m. Police were called to a traffic collision in Moschelle. No injuries were reported, one person was charged with impaired driving.

-- April 28 at 11:52 p.m. A caller reported a suspicious person in Middleton. A patrol was made, but the individual had left.

-- April 29 at 3:32 a.m. Police received a disturbing the peace complaint from Middleton.

-- April 29 at 3:38 p.m. Police received a complaint of illegal parking in Middleton. A vehicle was towed from a no-parking zone.

-- April 29 at 6:52 p.m. Police received a request to locate an individual in Lawrencetown after a possible breech of probation.

-- April 29 at 8:42 p.m. A caller reported shots fired in Middleton.

-- April 30 at 12:55 a.m. Police were called to Bridgetown on a report of an assault.

-- April 30 at 8:47 a.m. Police received a report of possible credit card fraud in Brickton.

-- April 30 at 7:43 a.m. Police received a report of suspicious activity in Margaretsville.

-- April 30 at 10:57 a.m. Police were called to Middleton on a report of an assault.

-- April 30 at 11:58 a.m. Police received a report of a suspicious person in Parkers Cove.

-- April 30 at 4:18 p.m. Police were called to a traffic collision in Meadowvale.

-- April 30 at 4:30 p.m. Police were called to Cornwallis Park following a report of an assault.

-- April 30 at 8 p.m. A resident surrendered firearms for destruction in Middleton.

-- May 1 at 12:53 a.m. Police were called to Clarence to assist with an aggressive male.

-- May 1 at 2:26 p.m. Police received a breech of peace complaint from Nictaux.

-- May 1 at 5:18 p.m. Police were called to Deep Brook on a report of mischief.

-- May 1 at 5:49 p.m. Police were called to Clarence on a report of a possible person in distress.

-- May 2 at 12:42 p.m. Police received a report of theft of gasoline from Granville Ferry.

-- May 2 at 1:18 p.m. Police received a complaint of theft from Meadowvale after a quantity of topsoil was stolen.

-- May 2 at 2:58 p.m. Police were called to Meadowvale following a report of an assault.

-- May 3 at 8:14 a.m. Police received a report of an impaired driver in Middleton.

-- May 3 at 2:24 p.m. Police received a report that possible explosives were found in Margaretsville. The matter was referred to DND.

-- May 3 at 11:28 p.m. Police received a noise complaint from Meadowvale.

-- May 4 at 3:23 a.m. a traffic services checkpoint in Wilmot found no seatbelt violations after checking 20 vehicles.

-- May 4 at 8:33 a.m. A Bridgetown resident reported vandalism.

-- May 4 at 7:26 a.m. Meadowvale resident reported thefts from vehicles.

-- May 4 at 7:48 a.m. A Meadowvale resident reported a vehicle stolen. The vehicle was later recovered and the individual responsible is in police custody and charges are pending.

-- May 4 at 7:59 a.m. A Meadowvale resident reported an attempted break and enter into a vehicle.

-- May 4 at 10:54 a.m. A caller reported suspicious activity in Lawrencetown.

-- May 4 at 11 a.m. Police received a report of an assault in Nictaux.

-- May 4 at 2:41 p.m. A Lawrencetown caller reported suspicious activity.

-- May 4 at 4:47 p.m. A caller reported a theft from a vehicle parked in Lequille.

-- May 4 at 6:26 p.m. A caller reported a stolen vehicle in Brickton. The vehicle was later recovered and the individual responsible is in custody and charges are pending.

-- May 4 at 10:47 p.m. Police received a report of a possible fraud in Upper Granville.

-- May 5 at 11:13 a.m. Police were called to Nictaux following a report of an assault.
