Caused disturbance
The court handed Jesse Ryan Connors, 18, Cambridge, a suspended sentence with a term of probation for causing a disturbance in or near a public place by shouting, swearing and using insulting language; failing without reasonable excuse to comply with a probation order by which he was bound; and breaking and entering the dwelling house of an individual and committing an indictable offence therein.
Connors entered guilty pleas to the charges March 3, 2008. The matters were adjourned to April 29 to allow time for a pre-sentence report and for sentencing. The court handed Connors a suspended sentence with 12 months’ probation April 29.
Connors committed the offences in Cambridge Jan. 30, 2008.
Drove without insurance, while disqualified
The court fined Cornelis Boersma, 59, Hillaton, for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and for two counts of operating a motor vehicle while disqualified from doing so.
Boersma entered a not guilty plea to the charge of driving without insurance Aug. 27, 2007 and entered not guilty pleas to the charges of driving while disqualified Oct. 22, 2007. The matters were adjourned to April 30, 2008 for trial. Boersma changed his pleas to guilty on all three charges prior to the scheduled trial April 30.
Boersma was fined a total of $1,500 for driving without insurance. He has been given until May 25, 2009 to pay or spend 30 days in custody on willful default. He was fined $500 for each of the two counts of driving while disqualified. He has been given until May 25, 2009 to pay or spend seven days in custody on willful default.
Boersma committed the offence of driving without insurance in Kingsport July 23, 2007. He committed the offences of driving while disqualified in Kingsport July 19 and July 23, 2007.
Motor vehicle offences
The court fined Ronald Leroy Hiltz, 59, Aylesford, for operating a motor vehicle while his privilege of obtaining a license was revoked and for operating a motor vehicle without a motor vehicle liability policy.
Hiltz entered guilty pleas to both charges April 29, 2008. The court fined him a total of $1,150 for operating a motor vehicle while his privilege of obtaining a license was revoked. He has been given until Jan. 29, 2009 to pay or spend 15 days in custody on willful default. Hiltz was fined a total of $1,150 for operating a motor vehicle without a motor vehicle liability policy. He has been given until Jan. 29, 2009 to pay or spend 15 days in custody on willful default.
Hiltz committed the offences in Aylesford Feb. 1, 2008.
Drove without insurance, registration
The court fined Arden Lee Neiley, 37, Harmony, for driving a motor vehicle required to be registered under the Motor Vehicle Act when there was not a valid motor vehicle liability policy in force and for operating an unregistered vehicle.
Neiley entered guilty pleas to both counts Nov. 5, 2007, but the guilty pleas were withdrawn. Neiley entered not guilty pleas to both counts Dec. 3, 2007 and the matters were adjourned to April 30, 2008 for trial. However, Neiley changed his pleas to guilty on both counts prior to the scheduled trial April 30. He was fined a total of $500 for driving without insurance. Neiley was fined a total of $100 for driving an unregistered vehicle. He has been given until Nov. 24, 2008 to pay the fines with no default.
Neiley committed the offences in Greenwood Sept. 21, 2007.
Newly licensed with alcohol in blood
The court fined Terrance William Clow, 23, Kingston, for, being a newly licensed driver, operating or having care or control of a motor vehicle with alcohol in his blood.
Clow entered a not guilty plea to the charge Sept. 10, 2007. The matter was adjourned to April 30, 2008 for trial. Evidence was heard and exhibits entered and Clow was found guilty. Clow was fined a total of $387.50 and has been given until Aug. 24, 2008 to pay with no default.
Clow committed the offence on Tremont Mountain Road June 16, 2007.
In other court matters
The court fined Myriam Bergeron, 32, Kingston, for driving in excess of the posted speed limit.
Bergeron originally entered a not guilty plea to the charge but changed her plea to guilty prior to a scheduled trial April 30, 2008. She was fined a total of $222 and has been given until Aug. 25, 2008 to pay with no default.
Bergeron committed the offence on Tremont Road Sept. 9, 2007 when she drove in excess of the posted speed limit of 50 km/h by between one and 15 km/ h inclusive.

The court fined Jonathan Perry Wambolt 22, Berwick, for having a passenger 16 years of age or older not wearing an available seatbelt.
Wambolt entered a not guilty plea to the charge Nov. 26, 2007. The matter was adjourned to April 29, 2008 for trial. Wambolt changed his plea to guilty prior to the scheduled trial April 29. He was fined a total of $164.50 and has been given until July 28, 2008 to pay with no default.
Wambolt committed the offence on Highway 1 in Waterville Oct. 2, 2007.
