World War Two veteran Jim McRae was interviewed by Grade 4 Meadowfields student Ben Lyons on the vital role that Yarmouth played during the war.
Lyons received the Public Choice Award, Student Choice Award and was runner-up for overall winner in the Grades 4 – 6 division.

Heritage Fair highlights
The 2008 Tri-County Regional Heritage Fair took place on May 1 at the NSCC Burridge Campus.
The runner up and winner from Grades 7-9 (Monique Muise from Drumlin Heights and Ashley Nickerson from BMHS) will be representing the region at the National Fair in Victoria, BC – July 7 to 14, 2008.
The runner up and winner from Grades 4-6 (Ben Lyons from Meadowfields and Emma Fougere from Yarmouth Central) will represent the region at the Provincial Showcase in Halifax in February 2009.
