Digby student Mark Adams dies in hospital
Mark Adams of Digby, a 25-year-old university student in New Brunswick, died today in a Saint John hospital of injuries suffered a week ago.
Adams was struck in a Fredericton crosswalk on April 23, and was taken immediately to hospital in Saint John for treatment of serious head injuries. His life support system was withdrawn today and an unconfirmed report said he died soon thereafter.

He was the son of Glen and Ruth Adams.

My condolences to Glen & Ruth. I know them both from when I lived in Digby many years ago. I have been following the story since the beginning and was praying he would be ok. I was so sad to read of his passing. My deepest sympathy to the family.

It is a tragedy when someone as young as Mark who was a brilliant young man studying to be a professor, he had only two years left of university. He is my cousin Glen's son. I live in Ladysmith, BC. It is not fair and I believe that the man who hit him should be charged with vehicular manslaughter and failing to yeild for a pedestrian. Mark has a young son, who will make sure his needs are met now? This was a senseless tragedy. I just hope that his family will get through this, I could not imagine having to bury one of my own children. The Adams family have many relatives in BC and our prayers go out to them at this time. Please people vehicles are a luxury and not a right, pay attention to details and signs and cross walks, slow down. Where ever you are going it will still be there when you get there. Bless the Adams family, say a prayer for them.
