Father charged in Clare murder conspiracy
A 71-year-old Concession man was arrested at his home Friday and charged in relation to an investigation into conspiracy to commit murder.
A statement from Meteghan RCMP said Herbert Boudreau was charged with counseling to commit murder, and was remanded in custody until Monday when he is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Comeauville.
Boudreau is also awaiting trial for charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. Both stem from an incident in December and his trial on those charges is scheduled for July 22-23.
The arrest follows a month-long investigation, said RCMP
In late March, Meteghan RCMP arrested Boudreau's daughter, 38-year-old Clare school teacher Nicole Ryan, who was alleged to have conspired to have a second party commit murder. The intended victim was her ex-husband, Michael Martin Ryan, 43, of Little Brook.
She was charged with consulting to commit murder and remanded for a 30-day psychiatric examination.
