Queens bylaw enforcement officer injured in accident
At 11 a.m. April 24, Bridgewater RCMP were called to the scene of a Single Motor Vehicle Collision on Highway #103, Lunenburg Co. that involved a Region of Queens bylaw enforcement officer.
A west bound vehicle being driven by a Queens County male had to swerve in order to avoid a collision with a East bound vehicle that had crossed the centreline into the path of his vehicle. He lost control and went into the ditch. He was transported by EHS to South Shore Regional Hospital where he was treated for Non-Life threatening injuries, according to a Bridgewater RCMP press release.

He is out of the hospital and is recuperating at home. The Region and RCMP are not releasing his name out of respect for his family.

The 25-year-old female of the East bound vehicle has been charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for Careless and Imprudent Driving. The investigation revealed that she was attempting to connect a Bluetooth to her cell phone, which distracted her and her vehicle crossed the centreline.
