Marcia lived for many years in the Liverpool area. She became active in the Winds of Change Theatre Company serving as secretary for many years and hosting players for the Liverpool International Theatre Festival. Also, she will be remembered for her beach walks with her many dogs as well as her artistic attire. She had an out-going personality and made friends easily. She was predeceased by her husband, John; her son, Ian; and her daughter, Ronita; and is survived by her grandchildren Bryon, David, Andrew, Laura, Megan and their families. Her generosity is further demonstrated by the donation of her remains to the Dalhousie Medical School. In this, she follows the example set by her late husband and daughter. Her family and friends wish to thank the staff at the Queen’s General Hospital (Liverpool), Fisherman’s Memorial Hospital (Lunenburg), and the Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home (Halifax) for making Marcia’s final years comfortable and secure. A memorial service was held at the chapel at Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home (2080 Windsor Street, Halifax) on Saturday, 19 April 2008.
