Suspicious fire destroys barn

Windsor District RCMP is treating a Monday, April 21 barn fire on College Road as suspicious.

Fire departments from Windsor, Brooklyn, Hantsport, Summerville, and Wolfville responded to the blaze at 11:30 pm.

A large barn, used for storage, was destroyed in the fire. No one was reported injured in the fire and an older house and barn on the property are still standing.

The house, which appears to be unoccupied, sustained some fire damage.

Part of the structure was still burning Tuesday morning and police and fire marshal personnel were on the scene to begin investigating the cause of the blaze.
