Students thrill to circus adventure!

Folks went Under the Big Top Friday night at New Minas Elementary School as students and staff combined forces to create a circus atmosphere in celebration of Spring. The gymnasium was packed to capacity as emcee Pat Murphy kicked things off with a cheeky opening address that left everyone pointing and laughing as his drawers dropped to reveal striped underclothing.

The hilarity and good times escalated from there as students danced, sang, juggled and entertained the crowd during an evening punctuated by prize draws, clown acts, and refreshment in the form of a popcorn and cupcake sale, juice and coffee, and finger sandwiches served by student helpers.
