Slush cup at Ski Martock marks the arrival of Spring
March 21 may be the first day of spring, but for some in Hants County the season doesn't arrive officially until Ski Martock hosts its annual end of season Slush Cup. The first 100 to register got the change to ski down the slopes Easter Sunday in hopes of gliding over the cold pond below. Participants ranged in ages from nine to 40, some in costume, some barely dressed with others better geared for the occasion. Not everyone could cover the spread, but the Canadian Ski Patrol was on hand to help those who found themselves in the icy drink.
