Fairlanes, New Minas hosts Big Brothers – Big Sisters “Bowl for Kids Sake”

With a pirate theme this year, Big Brothers – Big Sisters of Kings and Annapolis Counties held part of their largest fundraiser, the 31st annual Bowl for Kids Sake, at Fairlanes in New Minas on Saturday, March 29. Big and little brothers and sisters collected pledges to raise funds for the organization and enjoyed a fun afternoon of bowling. Big Brother Ken Geddes (back, left) Little Brother Braeden Pinch (left, front), executive director Susan Suffron, chairperson Di Best, Little Sister Tatum Harrington-Oickle (front, centre), Little Sister Kelsey Morine, Mya Walsh and Big Sister and case worker Kellie Walsh (right) were among those taking part Saturday afternoon. Corporate Night was Friday, March 28 and another will be held Friday, April 11. There are still a few spots open. For more information, call 678-8641.
