February 24, 2007 to March 1, 2008 continued Brian Francis McEachern – 67, of Coldbrook, Kings County, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Nearing) McEachern. He was educated at St. Ann’s School in Glace Bay and in 1957, joined the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1974, he transferred to HMC Dockyard, retiring as an engineer in 1993. He is survived by a daughter, Marlene (Lawrence) Toney, Cambridge; two sons, Thomas “Tommy” (Heather) and Robert “Bobby” (Linda), both of Edmonton, Alberta; a brother, Paul (Norma MacIsaac), Halifax; nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Gertrude “Trudy” Anderson; a sister, Claire Melnyk; an infant brother, Thomas. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville and there was no visitation by family request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at a later date in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice. February 24, 2007 to March 1, 2008 continued Francis Ogilvie – died peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, Ont., with his family at his side on Thursday, February 28, 2008. Francis Ogilvie, in his 80th year, was the beloved husband of Rita Harvey after 33 years of marriage and predeceased by his first wife Shirley Dunham. Dear father of Marsha McGill, Waterville, Deanna Prigl of Germany, Reg of Wolfville and Jacob, predeceased. Lovingly remembered by his 8 grandchildren, great grandchildren and predeceased by one grandson. Stepfather of Reg (Joanne), Wayne (Cathy), Gary, Shelley (Rob), Cindy (Scott), and Susan (Mark), all of Fenelon Falls. Step grandfather of 13 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren. Brother of Myrna (Les), Bessie, Calvin (Edith) and Malcolm (Alice). Predeceased by Marion, Everette and Eleanor. A celebration of Francis’ life will take place at the Burlington Baptist Church, Kings Co. on Saturday March 29, 2008 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Respite Care or Community Care would be appreciated by the family. Reception to follow at the Church Hall, (Lic) Christine Bigelow officiating.

Funeral service was held 4 p.m. Friday March 14, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Lic. David Crocker officiated.
