Police respond to accidents, break-ins, threats

The Annapolis RCMP responded to 74 calls for assistance during the week of March 10 through March 17. Among these were six false alarms; five false 911s; five motor vehicle accidents; and three domestic matters.
Following are highlights of these calls:
-- March 10 at 4:42 p.m. Police received a complaint of mischief from Cornwallis Park.
-- March 10 at 7:36 p.m. Police were called to Lawrencetown to investigate a report of unsafe storage of a firearm.
--March 11 at 3:36 a.m. Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in Wilmot. A patrol was made and determined it was a delivery truck.
-- March 11 at 6:21 a.m. Police were called to an accident in South Milford after a log truck went off the shoulder and rolled into the ditch. No injuries were reported.
-- March 11 at 8:40 a.m. A Middleton resident reported a vehicle was stolen.
-- March 11 at 10:58 a.m. A Meadowvale resident reported a suspicious fire. Someone was burning garbage.
-- March 11 at 1:30 p.m. A Lequille resident reported being threatened.
-- March 11 at 2:04 p.m. A motorist was reported for dangerous driving in Granville Ferry.
-- March 11 at 2:48 p.m. A Middleton business reported a young person for shoplifting. The youth admitted to stealing candy.
-- March 12 at 11:54 a.m. A found wallet was turned in to the Bridgetown detachment.
-- March 12 at 12:33 p.m. Police were called to a single vehicle accident on the Highway 101 near Bridgetown. No injuries were reported.
-- March 12 at 3:04 p.m. Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle in the ditch on the Arlington Road outside Bridgetown. Further investigation revealed that one individual had been thrown from the vehicle and was killed.
-- March 12 at 3:37 p.m. Police received a report that youth were on the ice under the bridge. A patrol was made and the youth were cautioned.
-- March 12 at 9 p.m. Police received a report that under-aged young people were consuming alcohol.
-- March 13 at 12:19 p.m. Police were called to Lequille to deal with an injured deer.
-- March 13 at 9:24 a.m. Police received a report that a motorist was driving without insurance in Nictaux.
-- March 13 at 11:46 a.m. Police received a report of fraud at a Bridgetown business.
-- March 13 at 1:15 p.m. Police received a report of an assault in Upper Clements.
-- March 13 at 2:01 p.m. A Nictaux resident reported a complaint of theft under $5,000 after items were stolen from a parked vehicle.
-- March 13 at 2:35 p.m. A Middleton resident reported a complaint of property damage after a vehicle had been deliberately damaged.
-- March 13 at 9:12 p.m. Police received a report of breech of probation from Middleton.
-- March 13 at 10:52 p.m. A Bridgetown resident reported hearing shots fired, maybe fireworks.
-- March 14 at 1:09 a.m. Police were called to Bridgetown to a report of a break and enter in progress. Investigation revealed the homeowner knew the individual.
-- March 14 at 10:57 a.m. A Middleton business reported that a vehicle had been stolen.
-- March 14 at 9:30 p.m. Police charged an individual with possession of a firearm that is dangerous to the public.
-- March 15 at 1:54 a.m. A Middleton resident reported being threatened.
-- March 15 at 3:08 p.m. Police were called to a motor vehicle accident in Princedale. No injuries or property damage were reported.
-- March 15 at 5:53 p.m. A Beaconsfield resident reported a complaint of theft under $5,000.
-- March 15 at 6:49 p.m. Police received a report that three horses were on the road in Belleisle.
-- March 15 at 8:29 p.m. A Springfield resident reported a complaint of criminal harassment.
-- March 15 at 9:37 p.m. A Clementsvale resident reported a complaint of vandalism.
-- March 16 at 7:57 p.m. Police were called to a break and enter in Wilmot after someone had rummaged through an unlocked vehicle.
-- March 16 at 9:43 a.m. Police were called to investigate a break and enter into a garage in Melvern Square. Gasoline and tools were stolen.
-- March 17 at 2 a.m. A Lawrencetown resident reported a computer hacker.
-- March 17 at 7:58 a.m. Police were called to a traffic hazard on the 101 Highway near Brickton after a transport truck’s drive shaft broke and punctured the fuel tank.
-- March 17 at 9:19 a.m. Police received a report that three vehicles in Nictaux had been entered during the night, and that items had been stolen.
