Medal winners

Several members of the Kentville Silver Gliders skating club augmented their medal collections on a trip to the provincial StarSkate competition Feb. 15-17 in Port Hawkesbury. They include, from left, Erin Bishop, silver in Bronze Interpretive; Lacey and Ashley Walkinshaw, gold medalists in the Silver dance biathalon; Ashley Walkinshaw, silver in Senior Bronze freeskate; Tessa Wade and Hannah Webb, gold in the Gold dance biathlon; and Rachel Mitchell (front), silver in Pre-preliminary freeskate. Missing from the photo is Brianna Vaughan, who won a silver medal in the Bronze triathalon event. Wade’s and Webb’s top standing in the dance event qualified the pair for the National StarSkate championship the first weekend in April in Brampton, Ontario.
