Pricey shelter
Letter to The Advertiser
To the Editor:
At the March 3 Wolfville Committee of Council meeting, it was reported that the new bus shelter on Main Street costs $17,000.
At that same meeting there was a presentation concerning the valuable work performed by the Wolfville Food Bank, many of whose clients live in the town of Wolfville.
Seventeen thousand dollars may not seem like a lot of money out of an annual budget of nearly $7,000,000. But I wonder what use the Food Bank could make of $7,000 if the town had made due with a $10,000 bus shelter?
