Three charged with multiple thefts in Liverpool
Queens County RCMP charged two youth and one adult for multiple vehicle and vehicle-related thefts that occurred in the Liverpool area last month.
Laurie Randall Delong, 24, of Liverpool and one of the alleged young offenders, who cannot be identified, appeared in Lunenburg Court today (March 3.) The other youth was released.
Detachment Commander S/Sgt. Bruno Deveau said the three alleged thieves were arrested March 1.
“The theft of vehicles occurs very seldom here so it’s one of the those isolated crimes and it is great when our members are able to solve them. The working guys and gals deserve the credit.”
The three face a total of 37 Criminal. Charges as well as four Motor Vehicle Violations stemming from recent thefts of motor vehicles, break and enters, damage to property, thefts, possession of stolen property and court ordered breaches.
On Feb. 20, Queens RCMP recovered two vehicles stolen during the crime spree, the same day they were taken from Old Port Mouton Road and Harley Umphrey Drive in Liverpool.
Queens RCMP also responded to three thefts from vehicles and a break and enter theft from a business between Feb. 18 and Feb. 19.
A CB radio was taken from a school bus parked at South Queens Junior High School and in two other incidents car stereos were taken from unlocked vehicles in the Liverpool area.
Also, a recycle business was broken into. Thirty radiators, three catalytic converters and copper wire were taken.
