Learn the art of origami at the library
Michelle Blauvelt will be introducing people to the art of origami from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12 at the Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Library.
Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding and Blauvelt will teach participants how to construct a crown of roses. She will also delve into the history of the art form and provide pointers on the basic folds of origami, allowing people to follow other patterns. She will finish the evening by demonstrating how to fold an inflatable origami balloon.
Participants are asked to register for this program by Friday, March 7 by calling the library at 742-5040 or e-mailing yarmouth@nsy.library.ns.ca. Include the event name in the e-mail subject line and your name and phone number in the e-mail. The library is located at 405 Main St. in Yarmouth.
