Snowmobiles hit the raceway March 8
Snowmobile racing fans - riders and watchers - will be heading to Mannie’s Raceway in Berwick West for winter drag racing March 8.

The races are hosted by the Valley Lake and Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club at Mannie Lewis’ track off Highway 1, just west of Berwick, getting underway at 11 a.m. and continuing through mid-afternoon.

Racers should be at the raceway between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. for registration, with a racers’ meeting at 10:45 a.m. There are multiple classes for studded and unstudded tracks, stock, trail and racing sleds; pro and modified. Drivers must be 19 years of age, but newcomers are always welcome.

Admission for spectators is $5, under 12 is free. There is a canteen and washrooms and races are announced by loudspeaker. There is also lots of parking.
