Liverpool Warriors advance to provincials
The Liverpool Regional High School Women’s Warriors are headed to the provincials this weekend after winning two out of three games at last weekend’s qualifier in the Truro area.
The team, built on many new players this year, wasn’t expected at the start of the year to make it this far.
They won their first against South Colchester 51 to 44. They then lost a nail-biter 45-36 against Strait Area Education-Recreation Centre, forcing another match later that Saturday afternoon against South Colchester.
They won 64 to 55.
The provincials begin Feb. 28 in Amherst.
