2008 Woodland Owner Conference
The Western Woodland Owner Conference is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at the Oak Hill Fire Hall, Oak Hill, NS. This full-day conference will feature informative sessions to help you manage your woodlands sustainably, also providing the opportunity to meet other woodlot owners.
The conference partners include Nova Scotia Natural Resources, the Federation of Nova Scotia Woodland Owners, Nova Scotia’s Regional Development Authorities and Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board.
Presentations at the conference include Tree Identification Guide, Insect Challenges in the Western Region, Marketing Forest Products Cooperatively, Understanding the Value of Ecological Goods and Services, and Doing Business in Tough Times.
Seats are limited, pre-register early to be guaranteed entrance at 8:30 a.m. and qualify to win a GPS unit. Registration is $20 and includes a hearty lunch and a chance to win valuable door prizes.
