West Paradise under water
The Lane blocked off as flood rises
West Paradise residents awoke to flood waters and ice floes Tuesday morning as recent heavy rains flowed from the mountains and the Annapolis River became a lake.
Paradise Lane was under more than a foot of water just south of the bridge that spans the river, and at the intersection of Paradise Lane and Highway 201 water was several feet deep. Barricades prevented motorists from attempting to navigate to submerged sections of road.
One West Paradise home was completely surrounded by water while several other had water close to lapping at their doorsteps.
See pictures taken early Tuesday afternoon.

Comment online since September 7th 2008I stumbled across this article and was wondering if the flooding in Paradise is a yearly event or is this something that rarely happens?
Thanks;
Sherry
