RCMP Impaired Driving Enforcement Initiative
Members of the RCMP South Shore Traffic Section and RCMP Queens Detachment conducted extensive patrols throughout Queens County during Saturday night/Sunday morning.
Specific areas of concentration were Caledonia, Port Mouton as well as the general (Liverpool, Milton and Brooklyn) area. The focus of these patrols was to target impaired drivers.

Thirteen check points were set up during the night with in excess of 250 vehicles being stopped. Two 24-hour driving suspensions were issued as a result of alcohol consumption. Further, a newly licensed driver was charged for violating the “zero” alcohol level while driving a motor vehicle.

An additional five MVA tickets as well as 10 written warnings were issued.
