Windsor and West Hants residents finally have a place to recycle their old computers and TVs. Bill Ring, CEO of the Resource Recovery Fund Board said Thursday, “Windsor Recycling (known as Windsor Enviro-Buy Back) will be opening for electronics on Monday the 18th.” Ring explained that, in addition to contract finalization, necessary set up on the part of Windsor Recycling delayed the announcement. “It took a while to get things in shape and to get set up for it.”

The Friday before the Albert Street depot began accepting electronic waste, owners Jamie and Teria Rogers were “trying to get set to go. Basically, we just need to clean up and make some space.” The Rogers also completed training on safe handling of e-waste, and remodeled part of their space to hold e-waste.

Currently, computers, monitors, televisions and desktop printers can be brought to the depot for recycling. The Rogers noted that the program “plans to expand next year.”
