African Heritage Celebration raises funds for William Hall Heritage Scholarship
It was an inspirational experience to say the least as the Valley African Nova Scotian Development Association (VANSDA) presented a “Celebration in Song” in recognition of African Heritage Month Saturday evening. Soulful sound echoed throughout Acadia University’s Festival Theatre in Wolfville as several musical acts took to the stage, including Acadia’s International Gospel Choir, Shoulder to Shoulder, Neveah and many more. There were several dignitaries on hand for the fundraising event, held in support of the newly established William Hall Heritage Scholarship Fund, as well as an enthusiastic audience of hundreds. VANSDA partnered with Acadia, Michelin, TD Bank Financial Group and the African Nova Scotian Music Association to help make both the event and fundraising initiative a success.
