Brava Edalene

The group of 35 actors and production crew members from across the Valley who produced “The Newsies” last week in Wolfville deserve kudos.

The fast-paced musical was adapted and directed by Kerri Leier, with musical direction by Melissa Vidito and choreography by Tracy Fritz Nasson. The talented cast included high school and university students, parents and members of the community.

Leier, who leads Edalene Theatre, has lots on her plate these days. She is one of four directors for the Women of Wolfville show, which opens Feb. 21, and is about to audition for a spring musical.

The Al Whittle Theatre proved itself marvelously adaptive for a large cast and crew. Great job gang!

In Berwick

Ross Neilsen and the Sufferin' Bastards hit the stage at the Union St. Café in Berwich this Saturday at 9 p.m., bringing a great live blues show. Tickets are $10.
