JA looking for volunteers and sponsors

Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia offers business-style programs to youth across the province.

Junior Achievement is looking for volunteers to deliver the Economics of Staying in School (ESIS) program to Grade 9 students. The ESIS program runs in the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board schools on the mornings of Tuesday, March 4 and Thursday, March 6.

The Economics of Staying in School (ESIS) Program encourages junior high school (Grade 9) students to reflect on the advantages of remaining in school to acquire the knowledge, attitudes and skills needed for long-term career success. Training sessions and material pick ups are the last week of February.

With your help, JA hopes to deliver ESIS to 100 per cent of Grade 9 students in the province.

For more information on JA’s ESIS program or how to become a volunteer or sponsor of this program, contact Brenda Kenney, Program Manager with JA by phone at (902) 454-4564 or via e-mail at bkenney@janovascotia.org. For detailed information, visit www.janovascotia.org.
