Poetry From The French Shores of Clare
By Matthew Blinn

Pressing onward; forward,

Incessant wheels; turning,

The hellish voyage has yet to begin

Trees pass as downtown faces

Blurred by the rush

Pumping pistons haven’t the patience

To abstain and breathe such beauty

Floating along

On carbon emissions

Mans folly

Nature falls…

Prey to tailpipe toxicity
