Queens vehicle theft sentencing and new plea date for Const. MacCallum
Quick sentence in van break-in

On Jan. 29, 48-year-old Daniel Albert Morgan of Dartmouth was sentenced to 18 months in custody after entering Guilty Pleas to six Criminal Code Charges. The charges were the result of a complaint of a theft from a vehicle at the Queens Memorial Arena.
Employees of the arena witnessed Morgan break the window of a van parked at the arena and remove a purse. They attempted to apprehend him but he jumped in his vehicle and fled. One of the witnesses received minor injuries to his hand and a vehicle in the parking lot received minor damage after being struck by the Morgan vehicle.

The witnesses were able to provide the police with a very detailed description of the vehicle. It was located a short time later parked in the downtown area of Liverpool and Morgan was arrested.

The police would like to thank the employees of the Queens Memorial Arena for their assistance in this file. It was because of their efforts that the culprit was identified, apprehended and brought to justice.

If you have any further questions on this matter contact the Queens RCMP at 902-354-5721.

I have a question about the charge against MacCallum... Is he being charged with only one charge to cover all both men or will he be charged with a seperate for each man. Which I think he should be.... I seen the damage that was left to these men and he should have the book thrown at him. If it was the common citizen that had done something like this to 2 other men there would be charges laid up the ying yang... I think if he gets off with this there should be some investigating why he does and he should lose his job. No matter the out come of these charges, I personally will never trust this man even if he is a " police officer"
