FOGARTY, Janet - On Dec. 21, 2007, Janet Fogarty passed away at the age of 40 years. She is survived by the love of her life, Dom Teo, and beloved cat Budd; mother Anne Fogarty of Nova Scotia; sisters: Pat Thomas, Kelley Forgarty, Lori Fogarty (Mark Proctor); brother Steve (Jean) Fogarty, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her father Patrick Fogarty; brother-in-law Ernie Thomas; and nephew Bobby Fogarty. Memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Robertson Wesley United Church, 10209- 123 Street, Edmonton. Avard Eldridge "Bing" Crossley - 59, Stanley, Hants Co., passed away at home, with his family by his side on Friday, December 21, 2007 after a short battle with cancer. Born in Windsor, on March 17, 1948, he was the only son of the late Lionel and Elva (MacLeod) Crossley. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Florence Rose "Ann" (Turple) Crossley; daughter, Michelle (Wesley) Hellyer, Edmonton; his twin sister, Amy Crossley (Dennis Kean), Cheverie; sisters, Sylvia Murphy, Dartmouth; Ruby Murphy, Antrim; Kathy (John) Foote, Cole Harbour; stepmother, Abbie Crossley, Riverside, and side kick "BJ". He was predeceased by his father, Lionel; mother, Elva, and stepmother, Gladys Murphy. He worked at McClare's Lumber Ltd for many years and at various other sawmills. Avard was best known for his love of his motorbike. He could be seen cruising around whatever the weather. Along with being very sociable, he was quite the storyteller and always had a joke and a smile for everyone. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service was held Friday, December 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the Newport United Baptist Church, Scotch Village with Pastor Alex Mosher officiating. Reception to follow in the church basement. Interment will be at a later date. Donations in memory of Avard may be made to Windsor Elms Palliative Care. STUART, Alvin “Timothy”, 39, of East Green Harbour, passed away on December 22, 2007. Born in Sandy Point, he was a son of Mary Stuart. He is survived by his wife, the former Nancy Harding; son, Timothy, Lockeport; daughters, Brittany, Lockeport, Melanie, Rockland; brothers, Tony (Joyce Hipson) Stuart, Lockeport, Adam Stuart, Lockeport, Aaron Stuart, Sandy Point; one grandson; step-children, Maureen Spitler, Kentville, Logan Spitler, Lockeport; step-granddaughter, Kentville. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church, Lockeport.
