Kelly Preston stars in TV movie being shot in Windsor
Windsor’s Community Development and Tourism Coordinator VanEssa Roberts says the town is thrilled that Halifax-based Magic Rock Productions will be back in Windsor this week to film scenes for another Movie of the Week.

Filming for The Memory Keepers Daughter (TMKD) wrapped in Windsor Dec. 14, 2007.

Filming for The Tenth Circle will begin in Windsor Jan. 12 and continue for 10 days. The movie is based on the book of the same name by author Jodi Picoult and stars include Kelly Preston, Ron Eldard and Brittany Robertson.

Base camp will be set up once again across from the Hants Community Centre.

Filming locations will include the Windsor Arena and Avon View High School. Some local high school students will be used as background performers in the film and casting is being coordinated through school principal Larry Frenette.

The Tenth Circle unites executive producers Michael Jaffee and Howard Braunstein along with Nova Scotia’s Mike Mahoney as producer, all of whom were in Windsor for TMKD.

In The Tenth Circle, Laura Stone (Preston) teaches at a local college and is wife to Daniel, a comic book artist.

Their idyllic lives are turned upside down when their daughter accuses her ex-boyfriend, Jason, of raping her. When Jason later dies in an apparent suicide, the family finds itself in the centre of a high-profile investigation that rocks their Maine community.

Soon, Daniel’s dark and controversial past is revealed and Laura’s personal secrets surface, revealing just how far parents will go to protect their children.
