Police continue to investigate two complaints of alleged assaults that took place following a hockey game between Middleton and Bridgetown players at the Middleton Arena.

During the December 16 game, adults were making harassing remarks to one of the players. Two MRHS students were allegedly assaulted by adults after the game.

The RCMP responded to 48 calls for assistance during the week of December 14 through December 20. Among them were four false 911s; two false alarms; two domestic matters and five traffic accidents.

Following are highlights of the calls:

-- December 14 at 10:43 a.m. Police received a call from Hillsburn regarding a complaint of theft. Someone stole a garbage cage that resembles a large lobster trap.

-- December 14 at 2:12 p.m. Police were called to a traffic complaint in Carleton Corner after a vehicle struck a power pole. No injuries were reported and weather conditions were a factor.

-- December 14 at 2:14 p.m. A Middleton resident reported losing a wallet with a large amount of cash.

-- December 14 at 6:05 p.m. Police were called to the 101 Highway near Brooklyn after a dozen cattle were found roaming. The cows were successfully detained.

-- December 15 at 10 a.m. A break and enter was reported in Lawrencetown.

-- December 15 at 10:30 a.m. Police were called to Torbrook to investigate a complaint of suspicious activity.

-- December 15 at 11:17 p.m. Police were called to Middleton on a complaint of breech of probation.

-- December 16 at 9:38 a.m. Police were called to Hampton Beach after receiving a report that a vehicle was in the water. Police confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen from the Windsor area.

-- December 16 at 3:24 p.m. Police were called to assist EHS during a medical call.

-- December 16 at 5:35 p.m. Police were called to the Middleton Arena on a complaint of an assault.

-- December 16 at 7:02 p.m. Police were called to a Middleton residence after a quantity of heating oil was stolen.

-- December 17 at 7:53 a.m. Police were called to Bridgetown on a well-being check.

-- December 17 at 8:30 p.m. Police were called to Bridgetown in response to a traffic collision. No injuries were reported.

-- December 17 at 10:10 a.m. Police received a complaint of theft under $5,000 from Victoria Beach.

-- December 17 10:51 a.m. Police received a report of drug-related activity in Bridgetown.

-- December 17 at 10:46 a.m. Police were called to Granville Ferry in response to a single vehicle accident.

-- December 17 at 11:11 a.m. Police were called to Wilmot on a report of an abandoned vehicle.

-- December 17 at 3:06 p.m. Police received a report of dangerous driving in Clementsport.

-- December 17 at 1:10 p.m. Police received a report of suspicious activity in Bridgetown.

-- December 17 at 1:46 p.m. Police received a report of shoplifting at a Middleton business.

-- December 17 at 4:26 p.m. Police are called to Victoria Beach after trees were stolen.

-- December 17 at 5:36 p.m. Police recovered a stolen chainsaw in Bridgetown.

-- December 17 at 11:05 p.m. Police were called to Nictaux on a well-being check.

-- December 18 at 11:29 a.m. Police were called to Upper Granville in response to a traffic collision. No injuries were reported.

-- December 18 at 11:44 a.m. Police received a report of an assault.

-- December 18 at 12:45 p.m. Police were called to Lawrencetown on a request for general assistance.

-- December 18 at 8:41 p.m. Police were called to Paradise on a complaint of mischief.

-- December 19 at 8:58 a.m. Police were called to Forest Glade on a report of a break and enter.

-- December 19 at 9:04 a.m. Police were called to Bridgetown after a vehicle hit a pedestrian. EHS attended, injuries are unknown.

-- December 19 at 1:20 p.m. Police were called to Allain’s Creek on a report of a break and enter.

-- December 19 at 2:23 p.m. A Beaconsfield resident reported a lost wallet.

-- December 19 at 9:49 p.m. Police were called to Highway 201 near Nictaux on a possible theft.
