Woman released; no charges sought in man's death
Shelburne RCMP say no charges will be laid in the death of a 39-year-old East Green Harbour man on Dec. 22.

RCMP responded to a 911 call at a residence in

East Green Harbour at 11:50 p.m.

When police arrived, a 39-year-old male resident was found unconscious with an apparent gun shot wound. He was transported to the Roseway Hospital in Shelburne where he was pronounced dead on arrival .

A 39-year-old female who was present in the home was taken into custody and was later released. RCMP say the case has been closed on the death.

The South West Nova Major Crime unit handled the investigation and was assisted by Shelburne and Barrington detachments along with the Yarmouth Forensic Identification Section.
